Shape Shifter

Shape Shifter was a 2nd-year university project with the aim of converting one visual system into another - in my case, I decided to give myself a shot at product design to put together a trio of physical renditions of Apple's skeuomorphic UI components from the iOS 6 era.
This involved a combination of 3D printing, laser cutting acrylic, and plastic moulding, iterated to end up with an iMessage bubble, an ON/OFF toggle, and a Siri microphone button.
Inspired by Laurent Del Rey's work, I then photographed these objects in contexts which could allow them to communicate a surreality of seeing what is usually digital as a physical thing in a physical place…
