Kiroshi HUD (Concept)

July 2025

This was a little side project prototype inspired by the Kiroshi Optics HUD from the game Cyberpunk 2077.

The idea is that in the game your character has cybernetic eye implants which can showcase various information like your minimap, health bar, status of your phone notifications/calls, weapon's ammo count, as well as even an scanner, all built right into your eyes.

Awesome stuff, right?

Obviously we aren’t quite yet there technologically, so I decided to make a prototype based on the one in the game, adding in functions like a little mock-map which rotates with your head and graphic of the health bar where they would be, as well as buttons on a hand panel to summon various 3D objects such as a health booster or weapons.

For things like the scanner, I took the easier route and stole an outline from my other project to add a cool red overlay effect onto everything around you as though you were analysing it; eventually this could use actual AI vision at a high calibre to scan your environment properly.

Nonetheless, it definitely quite fun transferring the game UI for such a different experience - I get why we don’t use such sci-fi vibes practicality-wise, but it certainly makes for a cooler experience!

Credits for the original logos and HUD designs go to CD Projekt Red, naturally, as well as to re1monsen for the inhaler modelmr_fayazoff for the grenade model, and kristifr for the model of Johnny Silverhand’s Malorian Arms gun model.

Additionally, this was not officially affiliated work in any way with the game itself, and was purely just a fan concept made into a working demo/prototype!
