Kiroshi HUD (Concept)
July 2025
This was a little side project inspired by the Kiroshi Optics HUD from the game Cyberpunk 2077.
The idea behind this is that in the game you have cybernetic eye implants which can showcase various information like your minimap, health bar, status of your phone notifications/calls, weapon's ammo count, as well as even an scanner built right into your eyes.
Awesome stuff, right?
Obviously we aren’t quite yet there technologically, so I decided to make a prototype based on the one from the game, adding in its functions like a little map and graphic of the health bar where they would be, and buttons on a hand panel to summon your weapons.
For things like the scanner, as much as I'd love for the Quest 3 to be able to handle local AI vision models well, I merely stole the outline from my other project to add a cool red overlay effect onto everything around you as though you were analysing it; eventually I don't doubt it will be possible to have the fidelity of AI vision at as high of a caliber.
Nonetheless, it definitely quite fun designing a fitting UI for such a different style - I get why we don’t use it practicality-wise, though it certainly made for a cool experience!
Credits for the original logos and HUD designs go to CD Projekt Red , naturally, as well as to re1monsen for the inhaler model, mr_fayazoff for the grenade model, and kristifr for the model of Johnny Silverhand’s Malorian Arms gun model.
Additionally, this was not officially affiliated in any way with the game itself, purely just a fan concept made into a working demo/prototype!
